With Geotab Ace Get More Relevant Answers Even Faster
Geotab Ace, Geotab’s new artificial intelligence for fleet management, currently in BETA, allows individuals with zero coding expertise to analyze telematics data through simple questions. It also solves the age-old issue of an inability to easily combine data from different data sets in Geotab into a single report or break data down a different way for a super-fast answer.
As an example, before this AI tool was launched, if you wanted to know if stops were being made in customer zones after hours, and did not already have an exception rule in place for that, you would have had to create a rule, reprocess the data, wait a day and then run the report.
With Geotab Ace, you can simply type in the query and see the result.
AI Prompts to Refine Searches
The system includes prompts to help you create valid detailed queries of your telematics and GPS tracking data and then returns suggestions that you can copy and paste into a new query if the relevant data is not retrieved.
Tips on What and How to Ask the AI
With Geotab Ace you can type in a detailed question with multiple conditions and nested data, defining your parameters and how you want it to break it down in the report. For instance, data from your exceptions combined with engine data from telematics could reveal harsh braking events for vehicles with minimal brake pad life remaining. You can even “converse” with the AI to refine the report.
Just follow some basic rules to create a solid query from scratch.
A new way forward with AI
Now, when a question pops into your mind, or someone asks, you can go to the AI for fleet management tool and just ask it. Keep in mind, Geotab Ace fetches data that already exists, you cannot write a new rule or fetch an existing report in Ace. The AI includes suggestions based on broad categories to help you refine your requests and get the data you really need.
This is all still very new to us all, but it promises to be a game changer when fast answers are needed in very specific situations. Government fleets, service companies, trucking companies and last mile delivery providers will all find different ways and reasons to apply artificial intelligence in fleet management. We have not even begun to explore the many creative ways Geotab Ace can be applied, and how fast and how far AI for fleet management will take us.
Geotab Ace can be enabled through Beta Features in MyGeotab for supported regions and segments: US, Canada, and the EU. While initially tested in English, it may work with other language prompts, but there is no guarantee.
